Hi Nick,

thank you, may you become famous for it. I tried it, have to get used to it, but it is a good idea. If it would just be for my careless spelling. Sppose I write it with a WP first and then send it. Hope I can later still edit and delete.

regards ongolo

Strange, I am making a very similar application for boat owners to have an online log. The sites will be template driven with the ability to upload pictures through an easy to use interface - making each site individual.

Each owner can then update there site via a password protected control panel, email or even a mobile phone from anywhere in the world. It will even have spell checking facilities!

I plan to make the service ad free but charge a small (maybe £10) set up fee with the option to buy a domain name (e.g www.myyacht.com) instead of the sub domain which will be provided as standard.

If anybody has any feature suggestions - let me know.

Hi Ongolo,

You can copy and paste into the YotBlog editor, but I have found that it is best with any of these in-browser editing applications to paste plain text then use the editor to format it - otherwise it tends to pick up the formatting from Word or your web browser or whatever you copied and pasted from, often with unpredictable results.

I always copy and paste into Notepad first then copy and paste again from Notepad into the online editor.

Enjoy,

Nick

Got one of these excellent blogs already thanks but haven't written anything yet. Typical, the very minute you get your own personalised soapbox you can't think of a thing to say.

Conch_pearl - can I suggest that this space is well filled by the likes of blogger, which is free, and then you download Picasa (probably the best photo viewing and editing tool I've ever seen for simple home use) and also get Hello (both these apps from those nice people at google).

With thost three things, for no cost, you have an online log/diary/whatever to which you can post comments and pictures with no specialist editing knowledge at all.

At the very least, you should try it to know what your competition is. not meaning to pour cold water but hope that you can be clear on what your differentiation is from these things 'cos that's where any revenues come from.
