Serviced both the oil and fuel system on my boat on saturday, when all was done i ran the engine to check all was well,so far so good, changed to starboard tank (single engine) and the engine cut out after 4/5 mins.Tried to bleed the line no joy, connected suction/ siphon pump to line no joy,so i reckon fuel line is blocked, what is the easiest way to clear it??

If its blocked with general crud sometimes you can blow it back with compressed air or a dinghy pump.

The best would be to remove the pickup if you can and catch the crud so it does not get picked up again and block the line at sea.

If it is not general crud such as swarf and hair it could be the old bug. Sometimes this forms as a putty like consistency such as freshly chewed chewing gum and blocks fuel lines.

It would be worthwhile checking for the bug if you have access and treating it if nescesary with something such as Grotamar 71.
