Set off from Oulton Broad this morning, which very quickly turns into beauty. Had a chat with a couple of chaps who had just launched their sailing canoes after building them. They were pottering around. Lovely boats.

I motored very slowly to keep the noise down, almost on tick over, took some pics, and have now stopped in the middle of nowhere. (I used a 5m USB extension to send my dongle up the mast, to get this connection).

There's NOTHING around, only swans and cows. I just went for a walk and took some pictures. I can't remember the last time I was this relaxed.

Yeah, it would be nice to share these tranquil moments in all honesty. A shared bottle, a cosy evening meal in the cockpit, and then put the copious amount of rope I have onboard to good use for evening entertainment. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I gave up. My rig is too light to cast, and trotting at a rods length is tedious, and fruitless.

My bait is strawberry sweetcorn though, looks tasty.

My dad got stung for £60. He's been a fisherman all his life and always been fully paid up, but one day got asked to produce his rod license, and it had expired by a few weeks. He totally forgot about it. Pretty insulting since he's been paying to fish for 40 years, but rules are rules I guess.

Grr, these borads boats are annoying. A nice broads sailing boat goes by and apart from the photo opportunity is unnoticed. It may have a dimmed chug of an old single cylinder in it's wake, but these bloody cruisers. MRMMRMRMRMRMRMRMMMMmmmmmm, with a huge wash.

RIGHT! To the **** who just went past me well over the speed limit, if I get hold of you, I'll give you the same treatment as my stanchions just got. Idiot!
