I bought a pair of Sebago deck shoes last year and have used them only 'aboard'.

They came apart at the sole / upper stitching and having paid £120 for them I was not amused. I contacted them to see if they would comment.

They asked for some photos of the shoes which I sent and I have just received this email from them.


Dear Ian

Thank you for your email below and the images that you have supplied.

We would like to offer you a one off pair of goodwill replacements.

We would ask that you send us an image of the footwear with the tongues removed (as per the attached image) and your address and telephone number. Once we have received this, we will ship your replacements to you.

We are sorry that you have had an issue on this occasion; we do hope that you find this to be a satisfactory response.

Now I know we all expect this kind of customer service but let's face it it is sadly rare that it is delivered!

My compliments to Sebago. Definitely worth mentioning.
