When bleeding my beta BD722 engine yesterday, the bleed scew sheared. Its a small bolt that screws into a short cylinder with a fuel input. Its not on the fuel filter itself (as in later versions of the BD722 engine) but on the fuel line from the filter. I was not putting any real pressure on the scew, so just wondering if any others have had this happen to them in the past? Its not a part that should be under any stress, there are no signs of wear or corrosion, so I don't understand why it would have failed. I was able to use an M6 bolt as a temporary replacement - made it a bit harder to bleed the engine but worked ok.

You may have to put it down to being out of practice and not knowing your own strength, at least that's what my wife says when I break something.
