Lots of people making the most of the weather today, out on the Blackwater.

Not sure our KeepTurningLeft friend would be too happy. Loads of PWC's & Speedboats buzzing around like little gnats.

Bit of a mixed bag really. Some good. Others thought they were the red-arrows. :)

Lovely day to be on the water though and a good few boats moored off Osea Island.

Had a lovely sail on Sunday.
Sailed from Millbeach to Clacton peir, about 11 hr round trip.
Took my oldest son for his first trip (he is 23) realy enjoyed day out, both got a little burnt, but i guess most did on Sunday.
You are right loads of power and jet ski out..:)

Really typical Blackwater day yesterday; out just after HW from Bradwell with a glassy calm, then a little bit of on shore breeze, got down just beyond Point Clear (& apologies for those boats wondering whilst I doubled back to look at their Avon dinghies...), back to the Power Station with the breeze dying, and about 4pm a very sudden wind started gusting to 29 mph, bit lively etc. Typically this was just at the point where you couldn't get into Bradwell, although a couple tried and got stuck. Others just put their nose into the swell to mark time, even a Corribee anchoring inside the baffle was bouncing about. I wound the keel up and went in (with a smug smile).

Strange pontoon really, mixture on one side of the largest yachts, the other the smallest. Compensation is there a lot of nice wooden or GRP classic designs to drool over. Apart from the cheapness, the other big advantage is I've not yet been woken by fishing boats leaving 5am, which happened often on A pontoon.
