Hello to everyone on the forum.

Please accept this invitation to be a part of the first Blackwater Small Boat Sailors rendezvous.
The group was founded in 2010 by a small no of sailors who rendezvoused at the Ballast Hole in tribute to local small boat sailor Charles Stock. The aim of the group is to informally share the simple enjoyment gained from pottering about the rivers, creeks and ditches of the Thames Estuary.

Date: Saturday June 18th
Venue: Goldhanger Creek.
Hw 15.06hrs meet 13.00hrs

Make a note in your diary and tell all fellow sailors. All boats welcome, big or small.

Please pm or email creeksailor at hotmail dot co dot uk

Now I must confess to never having made it by boat to the top of the creek - done it on foot. Is the RVP at the foot or head of the creek?

Oh and , welcome to the Forum

That sounds jolly. I shall check the diary this evening.
What is the prcedure once we get there? BBQ, lunch, quick turnaround and off on the ebb, or stay and mudberth for a tide?

Welcome to the forum......

The front cover of the book directly led us to taking the narrowboat round to Heybridge from the Thames and recreating the photo

and how we got there (photo's of Faversham Creek etc

After hearing a talk Charlie did for the Henley Offshore Group we decided we could get the narrowboat round in settled conditions with the aim of eventually running up the canal to Chelmsford, and after achieving this I started bringing my own motorcruiser around from the Thames thanks to Charlie's inspiration.

Doesn't seem that bad?

Not ideal, I agree....
