Not the sailing ones but the shellfish. I put Bonsella up on the "beach" next to the Bradwell YC scrubbing posts yesterday. One of the guys on the fishing boat using the scrubbing posts was wading around pulling up oysters, breaking them open and eating them. Apparently they were very good but he regretted having no sauce for them.

Since I was scrubbing the hull 10 meters away, as have many others before, I'm not sure of the wisdom of eating oysters from there. There was an "r" in the month but a lot cr-p in the water! I hope he's OK today.

Don't know about the area, but oysters are great with a bit of cider vinegar and finely chopped shallots, leave the shallots in the vinegar overnight for the best taste. Only reason I heard about for not eating oysters is when they're breeding they are somewhat yucky. They breed when the water warms up. Guess what the yucky is.
