Hi,

I'm sick of the Vetus pump connected to the holding tank on my Oceanis 323. It keeps losing its prime, though I have replaced the valves twice in as many years, and have to keep unscrewing the top hose and pour in pint of water and reconnect. It time for it to go...

Does anyone know of a good pump (possibly with a macerator) that has reliable valves and will give me a season free of being head down in the cockpit locker sorting the plumbing?

Cheers,

Ant

The only problem with the Jabsco flexible impeller macerator pump is it will need to be be watched to avoid dry running, and a prime height of only about one meter... Apart from the very reliable...

Why not try a Diaphragm? - I changed from a macerator to a Diaphragm a few years ago and have had no trouble since.

That's the trouble with diaphragms. If they're at all dodgy, they can make you repeat ;)
