Does anyone know in advance where I can find the regs. for disposing of black water waste in the Med. The reason for asking is that I'm currently debating whether to fit a lectrasan treatment plant, black water tank or both to my 54ft Fleur De Lys?

The other post on the subject is correct. There are very few pump out stations. Most yachts discharge to sea on passage as far as possible from shore. I have chartered several times in the Med and that is how most charter boats are organised.

Sorry to contradict but my Club Nautic has just promulgated a leaflet about environmental issues, particularly i.r.o. supporting the local blue flag beaches and it clearly states there are facilities within the shower/toilet block for emptying Portapotti type loos; I presume that is what you are talking about? I'll get a copy next time I visit and see if I can do a mini-translation of salient points. Adios o cambio.

You can empty a porta potty almost anywhere (if nobody is watching) but I don't suppose anyone would fit one on a 54' Fleur de Lys. I think the OP is talking about a fixed holding tank.
