black spot on hull

Have noted a large black spot about the size of my hand on the hull about 18 inches from my zinc cathode .

Hull has a coppercoat epoxy lining . Could this be some local galvanic action ?

According to the pdf brochure on their website Coppercoat is non conducting and does not cause electrolysis problems. Sacrificial anodes should be fitted in the usual way.
