It would appear that I spoke too soon!

It seems that my confirmed - ill see you at 9 Saturday morning - engine fitting has gone awry. Apparently, my second hand engine is fitting is not as important to the dealer as the 'rush job' that has just bought 2 new 115 o/b's. So when I rung to confirm all is well I am told 'No - I cannot do yours as I have better things to do' (in not so many words). Nice of him to rung an tell me before I hooked the boat up and did the 100 mile round trip!

Now I am seriously pi$$ed off! I just cannot believe the gall of some of these dealers. How about we start a new forum to name and shame dealers that are guilty of this sort of stuff?

I've suggested this before but "our leader" doesn't want to get in trouble with the companies we 'shame'.

who needs a special forum ? if they've taken the mickey, name them....but maybe after you've got your engine?

Sadly such lack of consideration seems to be commonplace and not just in the marine industry. Have you paid them yet ? If not, I'd deduct something off their final bill to cover the cost of some or all of the wasted journey.
