Neat ! I had not realised that a SUP required a specific design, thinking that any old surfboard would suffice.

However, what a good idea to enable you to continue Items 1 and 2 on your list. More power to your sandpapering elbow !

The foam core and fibreglass version is also a good project and bit lighter.

oldsalt, I thought about fiberglass over foam, but I like the look of a wood board, and it gets rid of a bunch of scraps cluttering up the shop.

Well you proved you are a fully paid up member of the grotty yachtie club.

Scrounging is paramount and using bits and bobs that are laying around are not wasted.

nice work.

looked at your blog, another trick for transferring pattern from paper to wood - laser print or photocopy can be turned over and ironed - remember to use a mirror image

Finally found what SUP means (stand up paddleboard) to save others going through the blog to find out.
