Got dragged out yesterday in 30+ knots of wind, no swell but fairly sloppy, by a bunch of 'Raggies' to go and have a whiz round Mirabella V sitting off Trefusis Point, Falmouth (curiosity got the better of me also, just to see her in the flesh) Unfortunately had a biz appointment at 2.30 so couldn't get on the water til 3.45.......Missed her by about 45 minutes...... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gifwe were all so miffed that we went to the Chainlocker and got pisitvely possed!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gifLater learned that she weighed anchor about 1500 hrs and pushed off to Oz. Don't know which part (and don't know how well informed this is) but apparently there are only five harbours in the world that she can get into.... Anyway...apologies for no images of MV on the water....

The problem is not the keel but the mast! The re was a story about the number of harbours but that was based upon getting under bridges I think?

Sorry to hear you missed her, was looking forward to seeing your pics. There's a great shot of her leaving Falmouth yesterday on SB, see Bad Mannered Crew p2.

Just to clear this up this harbour thing. We know of no bridge under which she can pass, so that rules out many harbours, and the Panama Canal (Bridge of the Americas). She is off to the Caribbean, after a quick stop in Florida. She will spend her life between the Med and Caribbean, so very few bridge issues (unless they build that one across the Straits of Messina...damn!).
