Bit of help identifying my boat

Hi all i am new to the whole boating thing and have recently bought a boat form a friend of a friend who had it sat in there garden for 15yrs that i know of.

There are no markings on the boat and i would like to identify what make / model it is and thought this would be the best place to find out.

It has a cathedral hull

I think its a CJR 14, but there were lots of similar boats arounnd in the late 70's and early 80's. They were mainly used for fishing, you might get more info on 1 of the Sea fishing forums.

Agree that she looks like a Pilot .... Here's a picture of a 17 from our old marina...

It could also be a Swift 435, which is a newer version of the same boat.

I agree with the Pirate. A CJR14. We had one back in 1986 for a summer!

For my money, I say she's a CJR 14.

Manufacturer: CJR Marine, Woodrolfe Road, Tollesbury, Essex.
Length 14 ft.

Cathedral Hull. The triple hull gave a more stable, better ride.
Very easy to plane. An ideal all purpose boat when fitted with 25 h.p.
outboard engine. 2 small berths. Large cockpit.
There is potential to fit a full hood and make her
into a inexpensive weekender.

They were around in circa early 1980's.

Excellent thanks for your help guys , bottom is sound but the top has been painted and its flaking so need to get that rubbed down and repainted

These boats were made by many different moulders. They are made at poolside as the triple three.
All spares are available.

Arnie Holt, Poolside boats, Freckleton Creek, Lancashire.

They were a very stable boat for fishing, brilliant in a following sea, but absolutely terrible in a head sea, they slam for fun, are very good at wrecking fishfinders and GPS units and anything else that you fasten to them.
Very enjoyable all the same!
