On the way home from Brixham Marina over the past few days I have noticed that almost every other vehicle heading to the marina was a Mercedes ML, is it this years official staff car of the Birmingham Navy ?

Yes. That and the X5.

Together with obigitory "cherished" number plate (ideally a cheapo one like T7 ABC, or better still X5 ABC) and "privacy glass".

And chrome nudge bars if an ML or ridiculously large (with low profile tyres, hmmm ideal for an offroader) and preferably shiny alloy wheels if an X5 to confirm King of the Urban Jungle status!

No, no, no. My brat's school car park will tell you everything you need to know about car fashion victims and this year's Chelsea Tractor of choice is definitely the Porsche Cayenne
The ML is at least 2 yrs out of date until the new one comes along this year

I think he means the large number of 'considerably richer than yow' brummies who reside in Sutton Coldfield or Solihull and travel by somewhat tasteless bling motors to their boat on the solent at weekends! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ari,

The X5 was last years Staff Car.

Well spotted with regard to the vanity plates & glass though /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

But this is Brixham!

They'll probably move on to the X5 next year... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
