Hello world,
This is my first post here.. I tried joining the Birchwood forum a couple of months ago but it seems that hardly anyone ever visits that one...
I recently bought a Birchwood Countess and am now in the process of doing a few jobs to bring it up to scratch..
I have tried to find out a bit about the history of this model and also tried to find other similar boats just to check out the prices etc...
My countess has had the two Volvo petrol engines replaced with two Marinised Ford transit engines, 2.5 Di. The condition is generally pretty good apart from the paintwork which looks like it was done with somebodys feet !! So I have lots of sanding and painting to do..
It would be nice to contact any othe countess owners to pick brains, swap ideas, swap pictures, etc and I would really like to know how many of these boats were made..
Mine is moored in East London..
