B & Q seem to have stopped selling bio ethanol which over the last few seasons I have used in my Origo stove. They supplied in 2L bottles which I found very handy. There are on-line suppliers at the same sort of price, but is anybody aware of a major chain which is supplying bio ethanol at a comparable price/quantity? Went to buy my usual 10 x 2litre bottles today which lasts a season and was very disappointed!

Whilst buying in bulk is certainly cheaper, it's not a lot cheaper and I find the convenience of 1l squeezy bottles worth the extra cost

I buy several x 5L (ordinary purple meths) that last a few years, but work out cheap(ish).
Under the sink I have about ten 500ml bottles into which I decant 300-400 ml, and a 2.5L which I also keep about half filled.
Not filling the 500ml bottles means they are easy to pour into the Origo without spillage, and topping those up as required from a half-full 2.5L bottle is easier under way than storing and handling the 5L containers.

I bought 12x1l bottles off t'interweb for £30 which seemed OK to me.

The BnQ supply seems to have dried up, I bet the folk who bought the fires are well pissed off.

Go Outdoors are supposed to stock 5l bottles for ~£15 IIRC but I have yet to find one of my 2 local stores to have any in stock.

I stay away from purple meths these days.

I have been filling my cans from a Fairy bottle up to now but the 1l bottles with a small nozzle mean I don't need to do that now.
