The rubber eyercups on my (second hand) pair of bins have begun to detach themselves from the main bin body. Other than superglue, is there any other method of fixing them, ie some kind of tape?

Do you need rubber eyecups?

Do you wear specs? If so you might be better off without the eyecups altogether as they may stop you getting your eye close enough to the eyepiece lenses unless you fold them down. Often the eyecups are there to encourage you to hold the bins the optimal distance from your eye with the cup in your eye socket...but that doesn't work if you have spectacles 1-2cms in front of your eyes to start with. That's why rubber eye cups are usually designed to fold down for spectacle wearers.
