I'm afraid that main thing thing that his ranting inspired for me was er ...to do a lot of ranting.

His boat was in Levkas Marina and in Vliho, near Nidri, last Summer. I heard she was for sale. A case of " Sell up and not sail". Someone said he thinks he is too old.

I have only ever seen him motoring and that was hard in the mud alongside the Levkas Canal a couple of years ago. I am ashamed to say that I did not offer to tow him out but fear my 18 horses and fin keel would have made things a bit tricky.

I hope I never think I am too old to sail even if I am. As soon as you stop doing things because you know you cannot do them it is the start of the downhill slope.
