I know a couple with a Looe lugger.. nearly bought her myself, She leaks like a sieve through her above water planking after sitting in the marina until she gets a bit wet.
On the pump front -- I like those little Rule floatless auto pumps -- every couple of minutes they whir and if waterr in boat they continue pumping until bilge is dry.
As others haev said, suggest picking up a small solar panel to keep battery topped up while away.
