Bilge pump

I’ve decided to add a new auto bilge pump as the float on the factory fitted one has stopped working (pump still works on manual). Choice is between Rule Mate or Atwood Sahara, my preference would be the Rule but the Atwood is available locally (little difference in price between the two). Anyone got any horror stories involving either of these pumps?

Hi I should think most people would have had problems with bilge pumps either manual or automatic types. My own experience with an automatic bilge pump was the supplied wire which was plain copper which did not last too long before it rotted through result no bilge pump and a boat with no cover filling with rain water. Tinned wire is by far the best for marine applications.
