Should the the light on the seaworld bilge pump switch stay on when switched to auto?mines is doing just that which i think is stupid and will drain the battery.Could i have wired it wrong?

Sounds like it. Mine only comes on, when you switch to manual.

Glad it's fixed.
My bilge pump control lights up when the pump is running. It has a single switch that turns it on manually. The auto float switch is always enabled - under what circumstances would you *want* water to accumulate in your boat without chucking it overboard?

But I suppose you could always turn off the breaker or pull the fuse ...

Exactly - it's a pretty rare need so pulling fuses is an acceptable solution. The fuse holder is right above the switch for this reason. Far better than someone switching an auto mode off by mistake.
