I have just fitted a seaworld bilge pump switch when it is on auto the switch is red when you hold it on manual the other light turns yellow, is this right.? When it is on auto it will be using power out the battery. Glade of any advice

I cannot find any details other than ebay sites selling with no information.
Got a link?

Use a switch that does not have an indicator light in the auto position.. or no lights at all.

Use a simple ON OFF ON or OFF ON ON switch. Fit whatever lights you want if any.

Are the indicator lights LEDs? If so power drain will be very small

If it is the rule 500 auto i am sure the brown/white goes to the auto side of switch with the plain brown going to the manual side you can also run the brwn/wht straight to the battery(permenant auto) as long as you add an inline fuse.If the switch is already earthed you can run the pump earth straight to the battery earth.

I had the rule mate 500 auto but when i wired it correctly the auto function did not work sent it back 3 months ago and still havent recieved a replacment after numerous emails and calls and this is an ebay boat centre that will be getting named and shamed very soon.
