£10,000?....!

Who in the world will pay £10,000 for "one of the short legs"?

Sounds like they are running seriously short of funds to me!

Let's just hope they run out completely......

I was hoping to be able to tell their sponsors just what I think of the project, but they all seem to be Spanish companies I have never heard of. They list a lot of companies as supporters, and I wonder how many of them know their names are being associated with this environmentally damaging record attempt.

The 'Cable&Wireless Adventurer' (fastest around the world power boat) was moored in the Itchen until recently, looking very rusty, covered in seagull 'deposits' etc. Anyone know what happened to it - or to such specialist boats in general - after their one voyage?

The word "was" is missing between Mills and paid.

The talk I've heard is that she will get something like £80m for her short stint as a Beatle's wife.

She should be able to get a nice new leg now then and still have change for a short leg on the earthrace trip.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I watched an interview she did yesterday, came across as completely deranged.Maybe 80 mil will cheer her up a bit.

Wrong. They are running on 100% bio diesel.... and zero carbon footprint (whatever that means?)

And even if they wasn't, there is nothing wrong with the environment unless you believe all the shite the government are trying to ram down our throats?

Plus the biodiesel is just as polluting as the normal diesel! Add on the use of land to grow it not being used for food, etc.....

Oh, and last time round they killed a man and continued with the record.

I'm normally a very calm person, but this "enterprise" really gets my goat.

It's 98.9% of all climate scientists. I ask you, what do they know?

98.9%!! not sure that's correct. And they are being paid by who?

A state of fear is a good read.....

You'll be telling me next you believe there are only 800,00 migrant workers cause the government told you so. Oh look there's 300,00 extra!!! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

You forget to mention the destruction of virgin forest to make room for palm oil crops

Im glad Im not the only one who is cynical about this pointless record attempt.

Up to now they havent run entirely on bio diesel .They crossed big bits of the Pacific on ordinary diesel when bio wasnt locally available.
