Is it possible to replace a 6 Kg ( 14lbs? ) Delta Anchor by a 10 Kg ( 22 Lbs ? ) Delta Anchor on a Sealin S 28 ?
does it fit to the bow? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You probably have the same problem as me where I want to upgrade my 10Kg to a 16Kg. (mines an S37). The nose inset is the problem. My guy in Spain has done the mod to an S42 by chopping away at the anchor but he said it was such a hassel, he would never do it again (therefore no chance for me!) Incidently if you are concerned whether your windlass will cope the answer is probably yes, because te extra weight in anchor is equivalent to only a few metres of chain which if you drop the anchor in 20 metres you would be pulling up anyway.
I wish you luck.

The Delta (Lewmar) web site gives you dimensions. You will have to make one up in cardboard and try it, or buy one sale or return from a friendly chandlery. I agree the winch will take the weight OK.

Thx. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I had hoped, that already someone before me made/try this change

I will now try to borrow an anchor from my dealer .
