Todays high tide was 14.4 Mtr here in Portishead (Tidal range was over 15 Mtr)

I think the next time this high will be in about 2 years time

9.20am about 25 mins after high tide.

Yep, was the highest i've ever seen here in Lymington yesterday, the mud flats were almost entirely submerged. There was also an article on the news about it being the biggest Severn Bore for a few years, with dozens of surfers on it. I surfed it myself a few years back, and even at its biggest it's quite slow and boring as a wave, but none the less it's fun to surf two miles up the river.
