Hired help deserted me today (guess my boat driving scared the pants off them!) everyone else in the middle of prep for Genoa show and had sea trials to do today. In a right pickle last night trying to find suitable crew.

Phone Solitare thinking he is bound to be busy, 'Not a problem says he, where and when'.

Top bloke, dropped everything on a glorious Saturday to help me out, BIG THANKS Dave ! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Had a brief chat at the end of the day with Solitaire. He seemed to have enjoyed the day!

What I can't understand, is peeps who book a test, and then don't even turn up!! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif It must pi** you off no end!

Finally, many thanks for letting me and SWMBO have a look at your 52 at SIBS. It was very much appreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just run that by me again.....

It's a fabulous day, perfect powerboating weather, and someone rings you up to ask if you'd be prepared to go out and blast around the Solent on a big, sexy Italian powerboat for an hour or two at their expense. I don't know how the Solitaire household works, but at jhr Towers I'm usually being sent out to do the weekend shopping on a Saturday morning. "Sorry darling, I've got to go: damn work!"

I bet you had to twist his arm real hard /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

Only kidding - he strikes me as a top man.

Tell me about it, the others were all fine, booked and confirmed by email and phone, Mr 'I forgot' knew darn well he was booked today but couldn't be bothered to phone and say sorry he had forgotten just expects to rock up tomorrow and push someone else aside cus he's looking at bigger boat. Sorry but it doesn't work that way with me.

Happens every year, there is always a couple that mess you about

Sorry to whinge, but he annoyed me /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

No worries re viewing the 52, delighted to show her off, gald you liked it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

It was a very pleasant day. And thanks for lunch Trevor. Just as well I'm off to my daughter in Bath tomorrow or else I would have been working.

I knew I could rely on you David.

I'd give you full credit for the great photos David, but then you can't take poor pics when the subject is so stunning!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
