Hi,
i need a 200 diameter x 45 mm thick spacer to raise the loo, can use wood, but this is likely to absorb . . . . . , would like to make this out of plastic, any ideas?

Find a suitably sized plastic flower pot and use it to mould your own spacer out of fibreglass.

Delrin or Nylon disk in the diameter he's after will be in the region of serious money. I don't know about prices at your part of the world but down here you could buy several bottles of Vodka for less. In fact I think that you would not be too far from the cost of a new loo. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

If you have carpentry skills and tools then wood has to be the answer, surely? Consider facing marine ply with Formica and paint the other side. If you don't have the carpentry skills and tools you are going to face a big bill anyway - unless you come to an arrangement with anouther yachtie? Do his antifouling, maybe?

Possible solution...

An easy way of buying a large round solid lump is to buy a winch pad. OK, it's teak, but you could paint it and I don't think you'd have a big problem with absorption. You can get a 210mm diameter x 38mm high pad for about $15 from Thai Teak.

It's the thickness of 45mm that makes it more difficult. Haven't a clue about stuff that's easily available in that thickness but you could laminate several layers together. Sign companies have offcuts of acrylic then you need to buy the adhesive or sealant. No point in special Tensol cement cos you don't need the sheer strength; sikaflex would do it.
Me... I'd use some sort of hardwood and seal it with epoxy thinned with a drop of meths to soak in, followed by a few coats of unthinned then paint to give it apretty colour.
