Did anyone hear it last Saturday? The Royal Navy Bomb disposal team from Pompey blew up a WW1 3" shell near Leighbeck.

From what I know a bait digger discovered it Friday!

Heard a couple of bangs, which reminded me of days on live firing ranges, while out off Landguard on Saturday We wouldn't have heard it that far, surely?

Bangs from Landguard

We where in Harwich harbour on Saturday afternoon and herd 2 bangs.
I looked over towards the Landguard fort on the 2nd one and there was a small cloud of smoke as if from a cannon.

There was a piece in the EADT about a "17th Cent Re-enactment" at Landguard Fort by the Sealed Knot group. maybe that was the source of the bangs and smoke?
