Yes...it may (or may not) be true! Summer might actually begin early next week. Just when we all thought it was safe to take the summer shorts back to M&S, and put the sunscreen away for next year's holiday in Majorca, the British weather throws another spanner in the works...HIGH PRESSURE /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

It's forecast there will be an armada of boats leaving Bristol, Newport, Cardiff and Barry in a mad attempt to escape the Bristol Channel before being sucked back into the land of liquid mud by the next set of depressions. Watchet is expected to introduce a congestion charge, the Ilfracombe harbourmaster is rubbing his hands with glee at the thought of 500 boats anchored in The Range at a tenner each. Tenby has cancelled all its hen parties with the expectations of ravenous hordes of raggies and stinkpots invading from the sea and drinking the town dry. The Boys in Blue at Milford have cancelled all leave so they can check you've really come from Porlock and not Bagdad. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! YOU READ IT HERE FIRST... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well that was another set of predictions that didn't come true!! Tenby had four visiting yachts whilst we were there, two on the pontoon at Dale and although Milford was pretty full it seemed mostly boats that had been left there whilst the owners went home!! Anway, I can now confidently predict that summer will arrive on or about August or September 2007 - 2009. You heard it here first /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
