Recently had minor over heating prob on 9 year old Beta 30. Alarm went off and despite stopping engine immediately and replacing impeller it seems damage was done and we have a crack inside the cylinder head.
Thoughts please on:
Is this a common problem? (IE a Beta 30 weakness)
It is based on a Kubota D1105 for which there are many eBay ads for Chinese heads. Is this evidence of a wider problem? And are these heads any good (£350 or so)
Beta don't have any replacements so new alt is from Kubota at £1200 ++ VAT.
Does anybody have suggestions for less expensive alternative?
All constructive suggestions welcome
