I'll try to pay better attention in future.
I think there is something new here - the other pics at the link show the underwater profile - always wondered what that was like. I had assumed it was just loads of ballast in the forward compartment in an umodified hull form... but now I know better.
Who knows why the new forward section of the hull is that 'claw hammer' shape?
