The table in the cabin that drops down to a double bed has been damaged on my 24 foot cabin cruiser boat.
It's just a matter of cutting and painting a new piece of wood/board and screwing the leg bracket off the old one onto it, but what would be the strongest, lightest wood that won't worp and bend/twist over time.
It's about 4 feet at one side tapering to about 2 feet and about 5 feet long, it doesn't have any support in the middle when been used as part of a bed.
Would marine ply do the job and what thickness??

Marine ply (hundreds of threads devoted to what 'marine ply' really is :) ) will be fine. As it is weightbearing, go for the best you can buy, and if the finished mass is not a problem, 15mm should be OK. BUT I would deffo put battens underneath to prevent any deflection.
