Try this:

Use a steam wallpaper stripper, with the small shoe they give you for doing alkward bits. about 3" x 5"

Hold it on the paint for 15 seconds at least, this softens ordinairy one pack polyuretane enough to just whip it off with a scraper.

Your better with a really stiff scraper, like a cabinetmakers one, with a square cut edge which you can re-touch from time to time.

One tankfull of steam does about half a square metre, which is all you want to do at a time on a winter afternoon.

Chemical strippers dont work well on twenty coats of old paint - this does.

Thats exactly how I have just stripped 3 coats off my 24 footer. Slow, - 3 weekends - but much kinder to the GRP than those chemical strippers.
