Hi guys,
I'm just planning my annual trip to the solent/channel Isles and trying to compute the best time to leave Harwich to make the best use of the tides and avoid reaching south foreland/dungeness/beachy head with the tide dead against us. Based on a cruising speed of 6.5 knots i think its leaving Harwich about an hour before high water.
Anyone else done this calculation, or even better, has a high tech computer programm that can work it out for them?
Thanks Iain
