Hi there,

I'm sailing back to the UK from the Caribbean in May and sadly have to sell her ASAP.

Would it be best to keep her in a yard on the south coast or does geographical area not make much difference to the likelihood of a quick sale?

The cost of storage is also an issue for me, boatyards I've been looking at will cost me £60+ per week for a 10.5m yacht! Is that as cheap as it gets?

Many thanks,

Seb.

You need to have the boat somewhere where it is easy for people to view. Clearly the south coast is good for the largest market. However, be prepared for a long wait to sell unless you are prepared to accept very low offers. There are cheaper places than £60 a week, but usually in the less accessible places, so a trade off between low cost and having the boat visible for buyers.
