Just a satisfied customer.

+1 very happy with them. Had a faulty array on some external moulded lights - they replaced them just on my word.

Their warn white is almost better than the filaments they reflaced - both bayonet and festoon.

Note the bayonet replacement is 2 parts - a bayonet bulb holder followed by a standard flat lamp - but give them a call - they are really helpful.

Boatlamps.co.uk for me

Excellent good quality products with an added bonus of equally good customer service and after care general queries.

Be Careful.......

...what you buy.....I have 9 or 10 Jelly Mould lamps in my boat....and I thought I would buy just 3 adapters and 3 of the flat led bulbs....(a total of about £30)....just to to see if I really liked them.......Good job I did....because.....when the adapters were fitted...in only 3 of the lamps was the orientation of the pins for the flat led bulbs either horizontal..or near horizontal....with no possibility (that I can see) to re-orient the bulbs so they point exactly DOWN.....

Unsure of searolf or boatlamps products, but Bedazzled's have built in EMI protection which can be an issue - we had trouble with some interfering with the radio. They also have built in fuses which some don't. Very good customer service also.

No connection other than a happy customer.

I've tried Ultraleds, Sea Rolf and got a nice anchor light from Boatlamps. All are still going strong, there was mention of Ultraleds having poor customer service a while ago...

Interior LEDs

I have used Ultraleds for a number of years. No issues with them or their products. I have just finished replacing the last of my interior lamps with LEDs ...... had to modify some "tower" ones to make them fit in the long under cupboard fittings supplied by Beneteau (Aquasignal lights IIRC).

Now I am all LED and will promise to use a light in the heads at night in the future - keep her indoors happy by not having to wipe up the spills!!!!

Alan.

Where I live the local cheapo place has two battery led lamps for a quid & if you want to go upmarket you can pay as much as a tenner.....who needs wiring festooning all over the cabin interior

Well much depends on what you want. If you want to modify existing light fittings then you need bulb type replacement LED fittings. However for a whole new light setup there are all sorts of options form China.
I have a little patch stuck on the ceiling of the little boat with about 24 LEDs. It is very low profile and gives good light. Not what you would call warm white but suits me and for half a handful of squids. Or I have also bought for a handful of squids 5 metres of tape with sticky back with an LED roughly every 2cms. You cut off as much tape as you want and stick it to the ceiling attaching 12v wires. 1 amp and 12w for entire strip. Good light and no shadows.
http://www.banggood.com just search for 12v LED there are hundreds of styles.
I have used them to refit the house with240v AC LEDs very low power. olewill

Manic volt retention?

I hope you were joking, if it is true you are pretty sad, approaching OCD. Even with a 10 watt halogen a 2 minute trip to the loo only takes 1/30 of an amp hour.

I am having a bit of a downer on my none wired led units because an OSRAM
battery light I bought is'nt working even though I hav'nt used it....I guess there has been some sort of drain on the batteries.
I have got to sort the headlinings out so the idea of disposing of all that exposed wiring seems attractive......maybe I'll go down the candle route ;)
Thanks for the link & advice.Back to webbies problems....

Another happy customer of Bedazzled. Easy to fit and really good customer service.

<Usual disclaimer about no association with the company other than as satisfied customer...>

Another + for Searolf. However its an expensive process when you have over 50 interior and exterior bulbs on the boat, but for me its a matter of upgrading for the future, and reducing the heat produced by the existing bulbs.
