I notice an ad for AdvanSea instruments, and this range seems to compete with the NASA range.

What's to choose between them?

Pretty sure they are the old Navman range from New Zealand rebranded and were sold by Plastimo. Proprietary network and NMEA 0183 but not 2000. Twice the price of NASA and can't see why anyone would buy them as they have no functional advantage and for not much more you could go up to date with network compatabilty

edit

Just noticed a wind instrument head free in the for sale!

This is probably what @Tranona intended, but they appear still to be a Plastimo brand.

If you're asking about instruments you might like to buy then you're probably best off explaining your circumstances - why do you want new instruments, what kit does your boat have already, and what's your budget?

The Raymarine i70 is the best instruments I've seen for my money. I think the B&G Triton2 shows slightly more information in its sailsteer mode, and I think I've seen the Garmin GMI 20 advocated here as having the most comprehensive information display options. But I like the Raymarine physical hardware - the i70 has large buttons and it somehow feels very high quality to me. Any one of these three options will cost you £500 per instrument and they will display anything on the NMEA 2000 bus - i.e. they have the additional expense that all your transducers need to be NMEA2000 too (or you need an NMEA 2000 convertor for each). There are probably cheaper options.

And

Unless you need new instruments NOW you might be better waiting for all the new releases late spring or early summer as buying now means missing the latest developments.

I have some b and g. Not overly impressed.
Where as the old grey ray marine is still trudging on. Solid. Just my tuppence.
