best connections

I have a bit of electrical tidying up to do which will involve inserting some in-line fuses.
Clearly, I have the break to feed wire to insert the fuse.
What would be the best connectors to use either end of the (blade) fuse holder?
(It's all low amperage stuff)

I hate in-line fuses! If you must use them, try to choose blade fuseholders with attached flyleads, then crimp or solder the connections. If you're particularly anal, you could use heat-shrink to protect the connection.

I bought the inline flylead ones on ebay which are water proof but also have a red LED set in the top which lights up if the fuse should blow.

Bluesea make some decent multiple blade fuse holders, and RS offer a range of miniature MCBs that will fit the blade slots. Barden batteries near Farnham were best place I found for the Bluesea holders. I have RS numbers for the various amp ratings if you need them.

+lots. crimp plus glue filled heatshrink. I might also be belt and braces with a wrap of amalgamating tape.

I think the best for inline fuses are the automotive spade type. This then requires that you use a spade type AMP crimp connector on the end of the wire. Use a corrosion stopping gel of some sort to minimise corrosion on the hopefully tinned wires. Then insulate the whole thing ina bundle of tape or amalgamating tape. good luck olewill

Just use 2 female blade connectors to the ends of the wires & insert a blade fuse to connect the 2 parts.
You can use heat shrink if you wish to cover the connection
I tend to solder ferrules to the wire ends especially if connecting to a screwed fitting such as a choc box as it stops the wires spreading & breaking as they are cramped by the screw. It is neater if the fitting has to be released from time to time
