Unfortunately mine are light in colour - so build up of grime over years. I have used a car based cleaner, but it was pretty useless. Any recommendations for best substance/method for cleaning vinyl seat covers?

Muc Off motorcycle cleaner. Worked wonders on my cockpit cushions. They were actually navy blue, I thought they were black when I bought the boat....

Not sure if you can still get Decasol, it was a very effective cleaner on vinyl seating.

My favourite too, the best I've used but no longer available for some time now unfortunately.

I was told the factory burnt down (prob at least 5 years ago now) and the (old) machinery / equipment that had been used for making it was too expensive to replace so they decided to withdraw the product. I have about a tablespoon of it left in a bottle on the boat.

The only product that I would recommend is Mer vinyl cleaning gel.
I also use it as a protective coating on the outside of the boat canopy.

I specced vinyl, rather than the fabric type hood for our boat canopy.
Doesn't look quite as nice but costs the same and lasts twice as long. Easier to maintain too.
