Admiralty if you want detail, otherwise Imray or the French SHOM charts are perfectly adequate in conjunction with detailed chartplotter electronic charts
Thanks mike
Ive had a look at the admiralty ones hugh things not so keen on them
couldnt find any imray ones my preffered choice
ive got the c-map for france, spain and balearics. i guess best option is get the french ones when im there
Mark I wouldn't spend a pile of money. I hardly ever take ours out of the packet as CMap on a big screen plus the livre deB tell you all you need. Some of our charts have the cellophane still on them. I'd buy just a smallish collection of the cheap Frecnh ones on non waterproof paper when you get there. If you are more than 1/2mile offshore the sea is 1000m deep so you wont have many nav problems
The only real hazard I know is that the north cardinal off the southerly of the two isle de lerins at Cannes is not really in the right place. There is another near submerged rock 200m south of the north cardinal. Only shows as a sinlgle "+" on the CMap chip. Give it a wide berth (unlike the squadron 62 that got impaled on it during a freak low tide in 2001)
