Now lets see what happens.

Can you or should I say would you tell the best and worst bits of your boat, can you also say what kind it is,
Its very interesting really!,
I find on many boats theres a bit I really like and a bit that is bad sometimes very bad.

One of the worst things is cupboard catches and often kitchen storage.

good bits some helm seats and practical layout.

Sunbird 198 Cuddy....

worst bit - Mercruiser 4.3 V6 inboard that i just cannot get running right!!

best bit - the helm seat, no better place to be on the few occasions the engine is running right and she's hopping along at 30kts

Searay 315, best bit..... cabin accommodation for its size. Worst bit.... helm seat you have to be 6' 3" + to see over the bow whilst sat down underway. A right pain on long passages.

Fairline Targa 40 - worst bit is the stairs down into the saloon from the cockpit, they are a nightmare, too steep, too small, too slippy. Best bit - cockpit seating, really works perfectly for us. (There are lots of other good bits too, for me the T40 is the best boat I've owned so far).

Cheers

Botnia Targa 25.

Hugely practical, safe, easy to single hand and FUN.

Not big enough - can I have a 27 or 31 please.

Broom 38CL, very happy. Love the Aft Cabin, layout and sea keeping, dislike the fiddley aft section of the cockpit canopy, can take up to 5mins to take down on hot days or when going under the odd low bridge.

I heard in the pub someone somewhere had slipped on those stairs and broke their arm.
Is there no grippy bits?

I hadn't heard that, but I wouldn't be at all surprised. The bit that makes them slippy is the curved grp bullnose at the leading edge of each tread. The carpetted version of the steps is grippier than than the teak laminate (which is what my boat had) - but either way they are still too small and too steep.
