I want to replace the rather cheap looking instrument panel on a Beneteau Antares 8 OB with something a little more elegant. Perhaps a mix of plastic and carbon fibre. Can anyone suggest a good instrument panel fabricator in the Dorset/Hampshire area who can handle both materials?

You can tart up your existing dash panel with carbon fiber wrap. And there are fake carbon fiber finishes like Mike Brewer uses on Wheeler Dealers. Failing that you can buy, very cheaply, carbon fiber panels on Amazon that can be cut with a cnc machine

Not in Dorset/Hampshire but worth talking to Brian Wards in Brundall - http://www.brianwards.co.uk/

They make panels for the local boat building trade and could probably did something from a template. We have always been very happy with their work.

Not just CF boards. I recently redid my cockpit switch panel using a 2.4mm fibreglass sheet as the existing switches were getting flaky. Took about 3 hours to complete not including rewiring. The big issue with wrap of course is labelling if you are reduced to small rocker or toggle switches that do not have space on the switch for the decal as you cannot laser etch it (AFAIK)

(excuse the screws I am sourcing coach head equivalents but the thread is proving a beggar. American imperial something )
