Has anyone had any experience of upgrading their existing Besenzoni Passerelle? I have a PI 357 (Big Flash – whatever that means) rated at 250Kg, but according to the Besenzoni literature they offer a 300kg 'option'. I am assuming it’s a bigger hydraulic pump - but would love to hear from anyone who knows.

ps - Before anyone posts that the boats/transom structure will need to be checked out - I know and if the 'upgrade' is available, I will.

I've never done an upgrade, but I wd have thought it's 50-50 between a bigger pump and a bigger cylinder. Have you asked www.timage.eu?

Also, if you extend your 250kg pass to no more than 5/6ths of its length it'll be ok with 300kg. Can you still launch your tender ok at 5/6ths?

Thanks JFM,

I managed to get a 300kg lifted at the weekend, but it was a hell of a struggle - I checked the hydraulic oil res and noticed it was low, so my first job is to top up and try again, so the question about the Passerelle upgrade is a 'back-stop' if the top-up fails.
