Thinking of heading north next spring can anyone recommend a boat yard/marina/harbour between the Wash and Tynemouth for a 60’ boat that draws 8½’ looking for a 12 month stay where liveaboards are welcome. Don’t need fancy facilities.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Dark Horse is schooner rigged with a beam of 4.63m. I try my very best not to take the ground (dry). Would be happy tied up alongside or on a mooring but otherwise a marina and I will email Royal Quays and Hartlepool. Where/what is Goole?
Thanks again

Grimsby (GY) is part of the old fish dock and joined to the working dock, always a smell of fish. We have used it often but imo it's fine for a stop over but that's about it, a very run down area I'm afraid
We spent 2 years berthed at Hartlepool 2004/5 (not liveraboards then), everything is handy, supermarkets and the town all in walking distance, and a better area and much better marina than GY. Then we moved the boat back to Hull marina.

Try St Peters Marina on the Tyne. Close to the city centre, liveaboard OK. I lived on board there for a year. Safe, secure, friendly and not too expensive. Your boat should fit through the lock.
