Bengco Heater - meths lighter info reqd

Can anyone provide info/description and/or a picture of the meths wick gadget for lighting the heater, please?

Our heater came without this, and I'd hoped to obtain one from Bengco but they seem to have disappered (phone no. doesn't work, etc.). I wonder how difficult it would be to make a replacement, and whether there's any significant advantage over using a firelighter.

I Had a bengco heater for many years. I Loved it never let me down and stayed in over night .All you need is some fibreglass webbing Thats half an inch wider than the depth of the tube in the waste tray. Roll it up untill it is the correct diameter. Lasts for ever you just need to find a supplier who will send you 100mm of it. Try someone lik this...

I drove past the Bengco place at Hamble Point yesterday .... all emptied out with a To Let sign on the wall ... either moved or gone tits-up. If they'd just moved they'd still have a phone number ... have they got a website?

Use a little bit of Webasto exhaust lagging sock rolled up, if you PM me an address I will bung 6" in an envelope for you.
