Whats the general opinion of the Beneteau Serie 9 and / or the 7.60. Do they represent good value for money, I presume general sea keeping abilities are OK, but what about residual values.
Any other views on this range would be appreciated.
Thanks

Took delivery of a new Series 9 limited edition twelve months ago, including the leisure pack (bow thruster, shore power, hot water, Furuno chart plotter, electric anchor winch, etc).

Single 230hp Volvo, cruising 15kts approx, max 20kts. Fuel consumption approx 18 litres/hr.

Have been very pleased with her. Cockpit large, easy access to bow, easy access from pontoon and dinghy, Starboard side engine access good, port side requires removing saloon table, carpet and short seat). Sea keeping seems good little rolling (but then our previous boat was a 50 year old wooden displacement cruiser).

Price certainly competitive, and I understand from our local agent there is in the region of a 10 month delivery on this model (it was four months when we purchased ours). Presumably they have become very popular!

Can't comment on residual values, but we were originally looking at an 18 month second hand model - virtually same price as a new Series 9 - but chose the new model. Whether that means they keep their price well, or the second hand craft was over priced, I don't know.

Send me a pm if you want further info etc.

I experienced both and can state that a Serie 9 is a lot seaworthier than 760 !
If you can afford it, go for the larger, she's a trawler able to cross Channel and extended cruising : I delivered one from South Brittany to North Wales.
IMHO 760 is just a fishing day-cruiser in comparison.
Are you looking for one with Twin or Single engine ?
