Could any of you good folk point me in the direction of someone who can supply a blank key for the patio door of my 1080so I can copy the old one. I have tried several lock smiths who cannot supply a suitable one. Neither BJ marine nor Dickies seem to be able to help.
Many thanks
Derek

I posted recently asking for help to get ignition keys cut for my Penta engine. General forum consensus was Timpsons and I have to say they were brilliant. They have masses of books of every type of key blank imaginable. They had a book full of "Boat keys" for example.

Is it a 'Select' lock? If so.....
Can you post a pic, I probably have a blank you can buy off me, and a link to the equivalent manufacturers references.

Local locksmiths such as Timpsons should be able to do it. We have a 36cc with a select lock.

Timpsons at the Tesco in Burlesdon recognised straight away but would have to order one.
Went to 3 Timpsons local to me 1 had no idea, 1 thought they may be able to get one, 1 could order.

Ended up going to an independent version of Timpsons who had a suitable blank and cut there and then, visited the local Timpsons and the independent one lunch time in town and cost about £4. (And it works!)

I had great difficulty finding any siutable blanks in the UK. So, on our first trip to France, I went to the key cutters adjacent to the Supermarche and got him to cut me 5 new ones. Job done! The only downside was IIRC they were quite pricey ( perhaps €7 each? ).
