Hi,

I am looking to buy a secondhand Beneteau 211/21.7 I am really keen to have an Asymmetric spinnaker. The newer 21.7 seems to come with one but the majority of the older 211 come with a standard spinnaker.
Reasonably priced 21.7's seem to be pretty thin on the ground so a 211 seems the more likeley option.

How easily can the 211 be converted to an asymmetric rig?

Any thoughts and suggestions would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

John

Selden do a bowsprit conversion for about 250 quid.

Then a few quid for tack lines, cleats and snatch blocks.

You should end up with change from 400 quid.

Alternatively, just fit a cruising chute flown from a block on the bow roller fitting and save yourself a few quid.
